Rep Power: 0 JL 10W7 and an Audison Lrx 1.400 or JL 500/1?
Which do you think will match the 10W7 better? No one around here has Audison but I get the impression that they're superior to the JL. Problem is that the Jl 500/1 puts out all of it's power no matter what load it's pushing (the W7 has a 3ohm voice coil) and I'm not sure that the Lrx does the same. I'm not sure that the Audison will be powerful enough to push the W7, but I'd prefer to use it because it's supposed to sound better.
Any advice? someone hear the audison?

meaning the w7 gets basically just as much power from each amp, even though the audison is rated for 900 rms capability versus the 500 from JL.
Personally? I would start to think about aesthetics and future upgrades. the audison might make swapping subwoofers in the fuure nice, have extra power on reserve, etc.
but if your stage amp is a JL 300/2 or two, it would make no aesthetic sense at all to run audison for the bottom end.
at this point, I wouldnt be basing my decision on accoustic reasons, I wouldnt be able to come up with any concrete motivation to go one way or the other!
but financially? aesthetically? I could come up with plenty to sway me in either direction!
if you require personal experience to make an opinion credible, I've heard both amplifiers and I run all audison in my own install.
