umm... are you serious? if you have to ask that question, you NEED to take it to someone who knows what they are doing. first of all, you need some 4 awg wire. enough to get from your battery to your amp. and do you know why it needs to be that long? you got it!!! cuz you connect the + terminal of the battery to your amp.

okay cool. basically the amp needs a power wire run directly to the + battery terminal (with a correct size fuse within 1 foot of the battery). than for the ground wire, you can bolt it to the metal chassis near the amp like the metal under the seat. for the amp to actually turn on with the deck, you connect the remote turn on wire. then you connect rca plugs from deck to amp to send the signal, then you run speaker wires from the amp to the speakers (or main factory harness which leads to the speakers).
dont forget to pick the correct size power wire depending on the power in rms watts that the amp puts out.

how many rms watts total? peak watts has no meaning for anything. i have a 4 ch amp 30wx4 = 120w and im using 8 gauge wires. i would just goto circuit city or best buy and get an amp wiring hookup kit just tell someone what you're using. its always better to go with smaller gauge (thicker wire) if you're not sure. should come with almost everything. they also sell special speaker wire that is all bundled (all 8 wires in one tube) to make it easier to run.
i would not take it to best buy however. they wired up my amp and when i was sitting there i heard hammering. wasnt sure what he was doing but he was bangin in the connector for the power with a screwdriver. the amp ended up dying 2 days later because the power and ground connectors were loose. he broke them.
take it to a place that specifically sells car audio and does custom audio.

400w RMS? if so you're gonna need some thick cable, at least 4 gauge if not 2 or even 0. may want to post in the ice forum about it cause i dont really know what size.
I sell car audio and if you are running 400W max then you can got for 8 gauge and if you are running even 700watts max you can still for 8 gauge but make sure its a good company like stinger, dont go for i-connects they are looser packed. If you go to Besy Buy or Futur Shop take a look at there wires, they all have ratings on them.. Even go on there websites and find out that way. If power is any more than 700watts then you want to go to 4 gauge..
Last time I had this much fun some furniture got broken!

Please be careful. installing an amp is a very simple thing, if you have a good knowledge of electronics.
Since you obviously don't, take your time, and double check everything.
Remember:
*Fuse within 18 inches of the battery + terminal.
*Ground as close to the amp as possible. Make a new hole in the metal somewhere near the amp and sand the paint off around the hole so the screw contacts as much as possible.
*Use same gauge wire for power and ground (make both 8 or 4 gauge with that much power. Either will work safely, but 4 is better.)
*Disconnect the battery's - terminal till everything is completly hooked up.
*Add the fuse in after all the install, and AFTER the battery's - terminal is reconnected. Doesn't really matter, but this is the safer way to do it.
There are many small points, so read up and take your time!
