hey guys. i just put in my old polk 12 inch in the back with a sony amp. everything was working fine until i just touched the amp as i was going to change the bass eq on the amp. by touch i mean so fragile a baby wouldnt even feel it. the amp powers on and everything. i tried rewiring the sub in different ways, tested it out with another speaker and still NO SOUND did my amp just conk out on me like that or is there an explanation? im pretty sure i cant kill my amp by just touching it because everyone touches their stuff. im so clueless, what could have caused this and how can i fix it?! thanks for any help in advanced, any help is appreciated

edit: i also checked my rca wires and rewired them to different channels of my headunit and stilll no go.

check your ground, then

check your amp settings (gain/level, bass boost, low pass filter, high pass filter, etc)

2nd, what amp and model sub is it? are you wiring the sub to an ohm load that your amp is capable of running?

Check RCA cables as well

and did i read you have a Sony (Xploder?) amp?

yea i have a sony xplod amp. and isnt if that if it was a bad ground it wouldnt power on? im pretty sure its a good ground because i used the ground where a lot of other stuff is grounded at. i checked my rcas. i checked the gain level bass.... cmon lol i tried everything basic pretty much.

no help guys? i searched and couldnt find anything
