disconnecting battery and its effects ??

Hi,

I need to go out of the country for 3 months.
I have a 2005 Civic which will remain parked/unused for the above period.

I would be very grateful if someone could provide insight to the following questions.

1) The honda manual recommends disconnecting the battery, should I do it ??
2) I know disconnecting will reset the radio, will it also reset the odometer ??
3) Is there anything else that gets affected due to battery disconnect ?? - lol

Thanks,
Sid

If the manual says so, then its fine.
The OD? Your kidding right?
The only other thing that willbe affected when disconnecting the battery will be NO POWER TO YOUR CAR

You'll lose any settings on your radio, and the code will be required if you have the OEM stereo. Otherwise, just re set the clock and you are all set

Don't forget to change the headlight fluid and to reset the elbow grease pumps before you leave.
