Tried searching, got nothing, but i am switching from a dual headunit to an alpine. Is there anything I need to get, the dual is an aftermarket obviously but I just want to make sure its just a plug swap before I spend time working on it haha

It should be relativly easy to swap the decks out. You can re-use the adapter (i'm asuming here you bought one) that plugs into the stock adapter for your car and just re-wire it to go with the new deck. Pretty simple to do as long as you follow the instructions regarding what wire is what.

yup just cut and slice the wires from the alpine deck.

he means Dual(the brand) as gearbox said, just cut one wire at a time, and match color for color.
