Dash & LED's needing advice

i'm ordering the blue LED's from Ledautomotive com

i have seen the DIY on turning the gauge cluster blue
it looks like a LOT of work and i know nothing about cars (just starting)

is there any matching Blue gauge clusters and needles out there for the 7th gen's

i have a 01 civix lx coupe

also is there a way to turn the odometer screen from orange to blue as well?

(sorry if i'm posting in wrong area)

Thanks

ok so i found diskreet's DIY
i'm going to go down to my local car stereo place and see if they will help me install it.

will the led's from led's from www ledautomotive com match in color?

i want to do it all in blue just like Diskreet

thanks all

First off, there aren't any gauge cluster kits for the 01-05 civic on ledautomotive.com, yet. To follow diskreet's DIY you'd have to order from superbrightleds.com. I was working with ledautomotive.com on making a kit, however, with Gearbox's cluster that looks nice, I might send my cluster to him!!!

Secondly, to turn your odo blue just order from superbrightleds.com. The instrument cluster bulbs they sell work just fine. You can buy 4 of them. One for each turn signal, one for the key indicator, and one for the odo. All you have to do is twist out the bulb and twist in the led. I would sand them down a little otherwise you get some bright spots...even on the odo. Hope that helps. I did that at first and I have a pic under my profile. Check it out if you want to.

not sure. you would have to ask someone who used them. i think that diskreet used the ledautomotive kit for his dash and stuff. i bought a red kit from them and it was crappy imo. the leds were not worth a crap. the one for my window switch barely even lights up. and two of the Hvac controls dont light up, not matter what i did. and i know for a fact that it was done right and the leds are not blown. so its up to you. if i were you i would just buy the ones from gearbox. i think its like $25 for the Hvac controls, just you would have to do the the cruise, mirror, windo, etc. but those are the easiest with the ledautomotive kit. just solder them to the ciruit board.

They should match. I bought the front dome light and the gear selector from ledautomotive.com. I had purchased the leds from superbrightleds.com however, they had some really bad bright spots. I didn't like them so I returned them. I never tried it, but sanding them down may have taken care of the problem. However, I'm just going to pay Gearbox to do it...check out his pics...they rock!!!!!! I do know the led clusters I bought to put under my dash don't match the ones under my seats, however I think that's because of they way their aimed and what they reflect off. I hopefully will remember to get a pic of the inside of my car tonight...then I can post it and show you what mine looks like so far! Good Luck!

When I did my dash stuff, I just bought a ton of blue and UV(purple) leds from some guy in Hong Kong that was selling them on ebay along with resistors. Then I took a day to tear everything apart and put LEDs in.

Then again, I've been working on both cars and electronics for years, so it was fairly simple for me. I'm sure it won't be hard for you either.
