System pics...I would suggest a broadband connection :P
OK, so after multiple PM's, and even more after posting my For Sale thread (selling subs and box) I finally took some pics of my system...enjoy!
Pardon the filthy car, but I just don't care about cleaning it anymore
Best headunit i've ever used...

My sub amps...

My front stage amp...

Can we say sound deadening?

Subs (for sale)...

And, lastly, my leather interior...

wow are 4 subs necessary? lol.
For how much you did you really need to carpet that box too.
either way, thats a lot of work and good job

i doubt he will...there are shoes in the pics, cigs in the door, some crap shoved in the backseat, some clothes or a piece of burlap shoved between the box and the amp to keep it from rattling against the un finished amp rack, the crossovers just flop around and it looks like he used every tie wrap he owns on the power and ground cable going to the ppi amp....i think it is done.lol

It's been like that for 2 years
I never finished it off because I was always adjusting settings or changing out parts. Plus, I never "show off" my car, so whats the point. The box was never carpeted because at one point I was going to glass it in and actually finish it, but then I got lazy. The "cable ties" on the wires going to the PPI are actually cabletiedowns, they are screwed to the amp board.
As far as getting jacked, the box weighs over 150 pounds and is such a good fit that it requires 4 people to remove, so I doubt anyone is going to try and steal it, and I don't live in a high crime area. Plus, I don't advertise...I have no stickers, and I don't go "block rocking" like some 16 year old kid that thinks he's hot ****.
Leather seats are Katzkin, Onyx Black with Red Stitching and Gathered Centers. I paid $800 installed, at the same shop I get all my audio stuff from. They are going to re-do the doors because they are peeling off after 2 years.
I'm ripping it all out in a month or so and replacing the subs with one sub, taking out a 500/1, and replacing the wiring, as well as replacing some broken interior peices, new floor carpeting, and more sound deadening...I can actually do good work when motivated, so i'll post pics when it's all done
Oh yeah...it hit 144.4 on a new mic a couple years ago...not exactly impressive, but it's tuned to sound good not be loud. I scored a 144.2 a year before that with two first gen 12W3's and one 500/1. It is definitely "louder" than two 12's when you are listening to it though. I've had to have my windshield resealed 3 times because the seal keeps coming loose and leaking in the rain, gone through one alternator, and 3 batteries.

:
: you think it's too much, to some it's not enough.
I get my rocks off playing with audio, some people do it on rims and bodykits and "performance mods"
And believe me, as soon as I get out of school, the civic is gone and a truck or SUV is taking it's place...I miss my jeep, and hate my civic. I only got it because it was good on gas.

I am getting rid of the subs and switching to (most likely) a JL 12W6v2 in a slot ported box, which will be running off only one of the 500/1s. The PPI amp running my front stage is a PCX-4125...its 125 watts x 4 at 4ohm, and it is bi-amped to my front components. Total system wattage right now is 1500. 1000 to the subs, and 500 to the front stage. I have a Bosch 117 amp alternator, and a deep cycle battery.
The leather was $800 installed...retail is around $1500 I think, but I got it from the local shop I get all my audio stuff from, so I got a nice deal.

144 is DAMN impressive on a new meter in a car thats designed to play music!
but mystic, mystic, mystic..... tsk tsk, this is a civic forum, where are your aesthetic muscles? You havent flexed them and they've atrophied!
