I currently have two sony xplod 12"s being run by a supposedly 2000 watt lanzar amp (i know it doesnt actually push anywhere close to 2000). But i want a little more thump and i was thinking about getting a Hifonics BXi1606 or the 1206(they are monos). The 1606 will do 1600 watts rms at 1 ohm and 1100 watts rms at 2 ohms. The 1206 will do 1200 watts rms at 1 ohm and 900 watts rms at 2 ohms. And i was wondering how many watts it would push to each sub if they were wired to 2 ohms?? Also im trying to find what kind of wires i will need to wire them together because right now they are seperate because the Lanzar was a 2 channel...So any help would be great..

Cmon someone please help me or atleast point me in the right direction to find the answer to this stuff...

in theory the 1606 will supply 550 watts rms to each speaker
the 1206 will supply 450 watts rms to each speaker

are your speakers eight or four ohms?

they are 4ohm single voice coil...so if i wired them in parallel i could get a 2 ohm impedance load right??
