Mp3 DVD headunits
What headunits have the ability to play MP3s burned on a DVD?
I know JVC has Giga MP3 which is what I'm looking for but I'm not really a JVC fan so I was wondering what other companies offer MP3 DVD?
MP3s on CD-Rs only fit a fraction of my collection and I refuse to buy an Ipod

look into alpine iva d310... i have the older model alpine iva d300 and i love it.... i dont know as far as dvd mp3 storage, but i know it plays mp3. and dvd, alpine makes very very good stuff. i would deff look into them... and you want touchscreen also.
well i dont know of any that will read dvd mp3's and not dvd movies.... i would imagine that the player needs to know how to read the dvd format to read from the dvd disc. therefore they would all read dvd? am i wrong?? or do you not even want a screen?

Yeah it'll more than likely need to be able to read DVD video for it to be able to read MP3 encoded DVDs.
JVC offers what it calls "Giga MP3" with most of its new DVD receivers.
I don't care for a screen.
I just want 4.7 gigs of music on 1 disc.
I think it's a new thing most companies haven't rolled out with yet so I wanted to check with you guys first.

I already have a cellphone with 2gigs of music and video plus radio.
It's pretty pointless for me to buy an Ipod.
I could connect my cellphone to my headunit but I don't want to clutter up my car.
DVD MP3 player = easiest solution =)

ya, you'll have to get a dvd player to be able to play dvd mp3's, but not all dvd players play them, my pioneer didn't, but my new alpine is supposed to, not sure if all new alpine dvd players do.......

i used to stay away from JVC as well. but i decided to give them a try with the AVX1 and i like it. i actually haven't used the giga mp3 feature cuz i don't have a dvd burner...but as far as the HU goes, nothing wrong with it, i like the features, its easy to use, and it looks and sounds pretty damn good imo.
