check this one out:

Pioneer Premier DEH-P630

It is $289 with free shipping. Pioneer is a great brand and this one of their nicest ones in this price range.

I like my Kenwood MP3 player. I found bought it for 250 with harness, and mounting kit. Not bad when at the time Crutchfield was selling it for 360. But I also heard that they dont carry that one anymore, so maybe Kenwood is changing it. Cructhfield gives you the best info, and the low down on a lot of decks so check and compare them ther. Check out eBay for the deals, but watch out for shady sellers.

BarbieDee, the Panasonic you listed is really nice. I was looking at one of those before I decided on the Kenwood eXcelon that I am getting. Definitely a good choice.

all the brands you posted are good units.... they all have there good qualities, and bad qualities.. pioneer is a good unit .. only reason i dont like them is the face plate has a tendency to rub off more than others.. sony isnt a bad unit either... Kenwood is excellent as well ..
I prefer alpine .. panasonic is a good unit as well they got some cool stuff out and stuff coming out ... if you like how it looks, and it has the features you want go for it ...

your gonna get a warranty either way the only difference is the store ships it out for repairs instead of you. but i think you can handle shipping something out if it goes bad. not many stores will just swap out a new one. Now with that said order yourself the NEW Pioneer Premier Deh-p740MP. Pioneer decks are great and reliable and it has lots of features that you probably will need. One the display is great. Two it has a High Pass Filter that takes the bass out of the signal going to your Front and Rear Speakers. Three it has 3 sets of 4 volt outputs one just for subwoofer thats adjustable. four it plays mp3's, and five cause you can get all this for around 250. Try www.smilephotovideo.com . And that other link that kid gave you for Buyloud.com that store will match or beat any price you find. So they say. Don't be affraid to order on-line. SAVE YOU MONEY

Get the one I have! Plays MP3 on cds and a great graphics display... Got mine for $251 shipped from eBay and installed it myself with the help of a friend. Just go to best buy and buy a dash kit and wiring harness to spend the afternoon with.

I have gotten so many compliments just in the last 2 weeks it's been in! Money well spent, you can trust pioneer and they also have a factory warranty.

Clarion DB715Z.. good features.. GREAT sound... 24-bit D/A Converter for that rich and wonderful sound you've been lookin for.. Clean Outputs..looks pretty good..Doesn't skip..

Also the Pioneer Premiere 630 (640) now would be a great option.. the Premiere version is about $30 more but has a better warranty and better Crossovers..

Cheers

Make friends with somebody at an electronics shop and have them get you a discount. Alpine all the way though!
