Just ordered 2 10" Alpine Type-Rs

I just got 2 from carmedia1.com for $235 shipped. Any idea of what kind of amp I should get for these. Mohawk suggested the MTX6500D which is what I am mainly considerign right now. I also plan on putting them in a ported box. Anyone with these subs have any opinions?

DVC..then no MTX 6500D... you need either a 1ohm or 4 ohm Mono Stable amp now.. the MTX is only 2 ohm stable.. Sorry bud.

Inexpensive reliable substitute

S2.500 free shipping..

All I can find right now.. I'll look some more for you later.

You need a 4ohm mono stable or 1 ohm stabe amp..

a DEI600D would also be a great choice seeing as it's class D it will be alot less strain on your electrical system.

Cheers
Mohawk

Any MTX, Kenwood Excelon, or RF amps that I could use with these speakers???

What about this one:

Kenwood Excelon KAC-X301T

I plan on wiring the subs in a series, not sure for the technical term for that.

Will that amp work??
