oh, and i have a pineer HU and kenwood 3 way components...
Yeah...I thought that first too, but they sounded so awesome in the store with my own CD, so when I heard them first after listening to other speakers, I yelld out loud: "That's it!!!", besides everyone says that's everything from Pioneer is a top notch. Mine speakers were fancy and expensive so they gotta be good. I was also blaming the Alpine HU 'couse it was one of their first silver units with MP3 and all that fancy staff, so it could be just one of those bad first tries, just as well.
As for adjusting levels, I just had to sit in my car for 1.5 hour the other day, so I messed with all that options(changed treble, bass) to kill time. There isn't much to adjust, and it didn't help much anyway.
Do you also have Alpine HU ? If yes what model? Are You happy with it ?

Polk, Kicker, Infinity, Apline, Rockford, are all decent and will fine with any of them. But again, to power them properly you will want to be putting at least 60 w to them. If you want a 4 channel amp its going to be difficult to find onw with that kind of power in your budget.

A couple of other things I need to know. Are you planning on using the amp to power the front speakers as well, and also, what are the front speakers?

As for not being able to see the H/U in the day I have heard that the angle of the dash makes the H/U hard to see. I am in the process of installking my system but havnt put in the H/U (Alpine) yet so I'm not sure. There is a DIY on moving tit down into the lower part, apparently that helps.
I got Pioneer TS-A6990R 6"by9" 5 way speakers all the way around fronts and rears. There are no stock audio components left in my car. I'm not shure if i wanna power up front speaker or not with the amp. Cause I don't know much about it. Should I ? I guess I would like to do that. Yes.

To sum this up. So what will be the best specs for my future amp? As money goes, I guess, I will figure something out. Mybe will go as high as $350. But money matters of course. Bear in mind I'm not in too very loud banging, but I love quolity sound and occasional bass bump once in the while.
Thanks.

Can You see display on your CDA-9813 , in the day light or not? Couse I can't see mine and I'm pretty pissed about it. I think it's a major screw up from such reputable company as Alpine, and they can't afford it. Heck, I could even see my old stock HU's display with no problem, so how come I can't see it now with my upgraded one. What's the point of upgrade if it's worse than the old one?!!!!!!! Is it just me or everybody got the same problems?!! Or maybe there is optional adjustment to prevent reflection, that I don't know about?!!!!!!! Sorry for so many questions, but I just too frustrated and looking for the answers to my problems.

P.S. I can see my HU's display in the dark just fine, though.

P.S.2 I just read your post again and realised You didn't installed it yet.Sorry!

ok, you are going to want a 4 channel amp then. I'm going to assume they have the same power rating as the rears. With $350 that increases your options alot. If you get a good quality amplifier now you won't need to upgrade it later.

So on Chruchfield here are some options.

Rockford Fosgate Punch P4004 - 50X4 - 239.99 - The power is a bit low but it will do.

Kenwood KAC-8402 - 60x4 - 249.99

Alpine MRP-F450 - 70x4 - 299.99

Infinity Reference 7541a - 111x4 - 299.99

Kicker ZX350.4 - 60x4 - 299.99

You can also check out JL and Soundstream but I think those may be a bit out of your range. What ever you go with I would try and stay close to the 80W RMS range.

it took me a lot longer than 1.5 hours to tune mine to my liking, but i have a different HU than you, its a pioneer mp3 wma xm playing whatever, but it puts out 50x4 rms and i can play with highs, mids and lows as well as more sensitive adjustments within those ranges, i also just got an infinity basslink so i get to mess with that too....

i dont know.... keep trying stuff though, youll be happy with it someday

I had it in my other car (4th gen civic) when I sold that I took out and am in the process of installing everything into this civic. I am happy with the functions it has, mp3 wma playback, built in cross over, time alignment, that kind of stuff. But since it isnt in yet I dont know how much problem I am going to have with glare.

I prefer Pioneer myself, and it's been very reliable. The mid-range Pioneer head units feature the OEL displays, and I have almost no trouble seeing mine (DEH-P7600MP) during the day (the angle of our dashes kills most displays in sunlight).

I haven't tried the new Pioneer amps, though. I've got two US Acoustics units, and they've been great, although they're rather hard to find.

I don't think there is annything wrong with the dash angle,it's positioned very smart,so you don't draw any attention from the road while adjusting your radio.Besides OEM stereo display was pretty visible. I really think car audio manufecturers should really look into their work, instead of blaming in on the bad angles. Polk decks seem to have fine visible displays. So don't blame it on the car,it's all manufacturer's fault.
P.S. I'm thinking to buy Polk deck next time. Are they any good?
