Stuffing a subwoofer box

I was wondering will the sound change if u put stuff inside your subwoofer box? becuase i put pillows inside my bass drums to make a deeper sound.

it depends on the box, if it's got the volume for some insulation then yes, it makes a difference..u use r12 (attic insulation) and staple it to the sides and back of the box...

absolutely. I listen for the bass to "ring", kind of like a static ccssshhhhh that builds at loud volumes. I find it dissapears when I stuff the box. every time.

I'd always stuff a box.

people use polyfill to make the box seem bigger since it slows down the air movement inside the box. basically its pillow stuffing.

you can put stuffing in a vented box... or sealed... it doesnt matter.

i had to big pillows in my trunk and it felt like the bass was hitting harder but i think it was just me lol
