you'd be suprised. I put a few of the new decks today and im not impressed. They took the offset large rotary **** design and ran with it for every model.

Huge fan of Pioneer, Ready to take a gamble on an OEL display. (and hope that the 7th gen dash design does not destroy it too bad) I was checking out the new design with the joystick type control, Not sure if it would hold up to use and abuse too well though. Thinking about getting an older model with OEL before they are gone.

I'm buying the Pioneer DEH-P6800mp real soon for a couple of reasons: it has a line input on the front so I can use my non-iPOD mp3 player without a FM modulator and not buy additional pieces (i.e. CBR10 - line input adapter) to do the same thing, the remote bypasses that stupid ****, and my old deck is pretty much burnt out. Pioneer still makes good stuff, you just have to know where to look to get it (i.e. not commercial retail)

premier 860mp....i love it, ive had it for i guess over 2 years. Got it off of ebay brand new for about $150 cheaper than bestbuy/cc. Has all the functions I could ever need. I am still learning today what some things do. Has nice blue backlit buttons and quite a few screensavers that you can download and change off of their website. The *****, which are kind of like joysticks that you can press in all directions have not lost any sensitivity as I can tell. Its been a good buy for me.

This was my second Pioneer and I may buy another mainly because I have never had any problems. I like the model that Gearbox posted above and may go with that one soon. I love the blue color and I just finished my dash so that would look good too.

Damn, I had such a hard time deciding between this deck and the Alpine 9833... This was about a year and a half ago.
BTW, I got the alpine, I thought it was better, but the display on the pioneer is much better, I can tell you that much!!!

^^ So the Pioneer with OEL displays in the 7th gen Civic are better (at not being washed out in the sun) than the standard Pioneer displays ??

Maybe its just me, but I just dont feel the Pioneers design. Its too, I dunno overdone in certain features and lacks in other departments. My .02, but Ive owned them in the past, and will never own again

The new decks are not the best looking however when the new AVIC line is released count me in. The new Z1 that is coming out is sweet.
