EVERYONE Where do you shop??
Id like to share my favorite website for car audio and hear from you guys on yours so we can all save some time and money. thanx
www.smilephotovideo.com --- great prices, no service, just a warehouse that passes on big savings to you by not having its own costs. Make sure you know what you want when you call they only want to place your order not answer ?s.
www.carmedia1.com ---- good prices, ok service, ok website with pictures and some info. check every so often for killer speacials
www.soundhabit.com --- ok prices, ok service, website doen't have much info but they have lots of specials
www.sounddomain.com --- so so prices, good service. lots of brands available here with factory warranty. tons of info on products. alot like crutchfield with some better prices and more product lines.
www.crutchfield.com --- retail prices, excellent service. sometimes you can get a good deal on older stuff. you can't beat the customer service and the return policy here so if you plan on blowing spkrs stick with crutchfield cause they will replace just about anything. And the website is very informative.
Ok so those are my top 5. Now lets hear from you guys. i have orderd from them all and not had any problems. My advice to beginners is to learn as much as you can from crutchfield and sounddomain and then get the product number and order them for cheap at another site. But always try it yourself cause car audio is really easy and you can get a DIY book from crutchfield that can teach everything for a basic system. so save money and DIY. just beware when removing panels and always disconnect the neg. battery post!!!!!

2: OnlineCarStereo Free shipping. Good prices.
3: SoundDomain decent service, good prices.
4: AmpManaudio Limited products. Great service and pricing
5: The AutoPhile Same as above.
Crutchfield is okay. But they're prices, service and availablity of parts ranks then #6 on my books.

not bad. thanx. you put a comma instead of period on some of your links though so they didn't work but wasn't hard to figure out. incase anyone else clicks on them. next time you go shopping compare what u get to smile or carmedia1 and i bet you'll find a lower price. later
I get all my stuff at Crutchfield. I've never had a problem with service or parts availability *cough*mohawkboom*cough*. I do agree with you on the prices, tho. That's why, I think I'm gonna take the advice of someone on this site (can't remember who), and get the JVC El Kameleon (assuming I decide to get it) at Circuit City. It's like $100 cheaper there. Also, I'm wanting to get two 12" Solobaric L7's...$350 each from Crutchfield...I think I can get 'em for about $100 cheaper at Ovation. I'm also considering the JBL Power Series BP600.1. It's only $300, and has hella power. It's 300RMS @ 4-ohms, 600RMS @ 2-ohms, and since it's 1-ohm stable, 1200RMS @ 1-ohm. That means that I would have plenty of power for the S12L7's (375RMS per coil), and I could get even better subs later on without having to buy a new amp. I think $300 is about the cheapest I'm gonna find this amp...so Crutchfield is good on prices sometimes.
Never bought from them, but these guys have great prices and a big seletion.. warehouse type deal...

I recommend carmedia1.com. They have really good prices and the service was great. I emailed them and they called me just to clarify since I wasn't clear in my email. I recieved the package 6 days after my order was finalized.
audiosecurity.com -- these guys have smokin' prices on JL subs. I have never bought from them, but them seem alright.

I keep seeing Ikesound listed in here. I didn't think a thing about it until just now, because I haven't looked at this thread in a while; but I just ordered a JVC KDLX-300 and JBL BP-1200.1 off of eBay, and the company I ordered them from is Ikesound. They just shipped it sometime today or yesterday. The scheduled delivery date is 3/15. I can't wait!
Hey, fourkilos, is the picture in your sig from the new Resident Evil movie? I'm just wondering, because I find it somewhat disturbing, and I don't understand why you would have that unless it's from that movie. I mean, it's not freaking me out or anything, but it is kinda weird. If it's from the movie, though, then it's all good. If it is, have you seen it yet? If so, is it any good? J/w...'cause I'm thinking about going to see it...but I think it might be kinda corny. Most movies made from games turn out being too unrealistic. I went to see the Tomb Raider movie a while back, and it's a good movie, but not that realistic. I don't mind fantasy movies too much, but I had to listen to my mom the whole time saying things like "this is soooo stupid...that can't happen". Oh well...maybe I'll see RE by myself.
its from the greatest jap live action movie of all time, BATTLE ROYAL everyone go watch that movie, GREAT acting, facinating storyline. its a mix between clockwork orange plus lord of the fly's plus teh other movie i forgot the name of
add http://www.ampmanaudio.com/ to that list of yours..........

I get my stuff through accomidation programs through Circuit City. The stuff is usually 50-70% off retail and the companys are usually pretty cool if you have questions/problems. Alpine was the best though, they sent me a deck and it was malfunctioning so they sent me a new one and told me to keep the one that wasn't working right and maybe I could get it fixed somewhere. I got it fixed for like twenty bucks and ended up have two decks.
