head unit wont turn on???

ok heres the deal. i wrecked my car about a month ago and when i was fixing it i replaced the whole front end. when i took it to my shop the head unit worked. then today i finally got done with it and the damn headunit or interior light wont work. what happen?? what can i look at to see if thats the problem? let me know asap im missing stern on sirius.

check your fusebox....I bet you blew a fuse

i heard stern this morning and he isnt that great...
but check those fuses and if there is an inline fuse on the radio check that also. Then check all of the wiring and make sure that nothing is loose

ok this is gonna sound stupid but where is the fuse box located? i have my interior fiberglassed and i was looking last night for about 30 mins trying to find the fuse box inside the car and i can't find it. is it behind something i need to remove or what? im afraid they closed in the fuse box when they did the work.

the one inside your car is located to the right of the steering column, get down in the drivers footwell and look up, youll se a piece that you can remove with two fasters that you turn 90 degrees to release, after you remove that youll see it.

i fixed it. when i said no fuses were blowen i was wrong. i blew my backup fuse. i was like wat the h*ll. i just started pulling all my fuses and that was the one. who would have though.

i had that same problem with my head unit. Didn't even know the backup fuse had anything to do with the head unit coming on. Glad you got it fixed though.

yep,the backup fuse seems to be a common fuse blowing when u are playing around with anything in your car...

has happened many times to lots of members
