Radio does not power on

I did a search and looked at all the fuses on the car, 2k2 civic lx, all the fuses look good, including the "backup" and radio fuse.

Is there a fuse behind the headunit that I need to check that might have blown? I know from the other car's I've messed with, there was a fuse behind the radio that I've had blown before. Also, I've begun taking apart the pieces to remove to get to the radio, the two screws are PITA to get out and I feel if I keep trying to turn I will strip the bolt, is there any safe way to remove these screws without stripping the bolt. I really hate the newer cars and having to remove all these interior bits just to remove my radio for something minor

i assume your talking about the two 8mm bolts behind the cig. lighter. If your using a phillips bit there going to strip out. Use a 8 mm socket and youll have no problem. Recheck all your fuses, both inside the cabin and under the hood. The oem deck doesnt have any fuses in it.

if it's an aftermarket head unit there most likely is an inline fuse on the power wire behind the head unit

thanks I got it to work, the socket wrench worked. Checked the radio, it seemed like a wire was loose in the back b/c I didn't take anything out but stuck my hand behind the area where the radio and climate controls were, I think I might have pushed the radio wire forward or something b/c it works now.

the screen was blank and I was using an OEM cassette deck that came with my civic. But the rest of the radio would light up. I probably am going to remove it again just to make sure the wires are on tighter just incase, since I had the radio not turn on before only to turn on in the middle of driving by itself and proceeded to work for a few months up until this weekened when it just didn't work.
