jttegx has a spectacular aura aboutjttegx has a spectacular aura about
1) its hard to say "best" because theirs the best sounding location and the best mounting for easiest work. but if you have the factory tweeter pods on the civic, use those. sound perfectly fine on my civic.

2) i have the polk db's component 6.5" set in the civic when i had it, they fit peffectly fine using the factory tweeter pod location. all that pod/mounting hardware the components came with...i just threw it back in the box.

but if your having trouble with fitting the 6.5" woofer on the door panel location, you may need spacers as i did.

I just mounted my tweeters yesterday on the little triangular plastic piece adjacent to the rear view mirrors. Just run the wire down the inside of the door and connect the wire to a coat hanger and poke a hole in the rubber stuff that insulates the other wires and run it into the car that way. I also put my crossovers like right under the seat but mounting them on the sides of the center console would probably look pretty sick. Good luck.

You will need either a cross over or a cap to prevent the low frequencies from getting to the tweeter, otherwise you will blow it.

theres a big block of foam on the inside of your door... take that piece of foam out... doublesided tape the xover to that area and your good to go..

I bought tweeter mounts from the dealer for $30 that fit a 2000 coupe. I screwed and bondo'd the ones from my car to the ones I purchased. They work out great! I just have to repaint them cause a little miscalculation of paint thinkness on my part oops!!!
