Installing amp, speakers and two 10'' subs. Don't know where to start, any guides?
Installing amp, speakers and two 10'' subs. Don't know where to start, any guides?
I googled all I could and I can't find ANYTHING! I can't figure out how to disassemble the door panel, wire the stuff et cetera. To be specific I'm hooking up a Kenwood 4/3/2 channel amp, two front 6 1/2 150 watt speakers, and two 10's. It's all going into an 03 Civic Ex coupe with rear speakers and upgraded headunit already installed. I'm basically trying to find some sort of guide online.
Also, do I need to get a box for the subs?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Start finding a place to mount the amp. Then install the proper wires for the amp(ground, power, remote) The remove the deck so that you have access to the wire harness.
Theres a DIY on removing the door panel. Find that in the DIY forum.
Oh yeah, you will definetly need a box for those subs.
Honestly it's kinda difficult to explain in writing how to actually do the install. If you were in my area I'd help you hook it up.

well heres some pointers..
run your power wire along the passenger side and thru a rubber grommet in the firewall.. it will come out under neath the dash on the passenger side and you MUST remove the lil bar for your front seat belt to tuck in underneath the trim pieces..
you can ground out your amp underneath the seat i used a bolt for the seat belt ( if you want your amp closer to the inside of the car )
i ran my RCA's and remote wire under the center console and under the carpet thru the middle to the rear of the car...
to prevent the trunk rattle

do that DIY it DID ALOT FOR ME!!!
theres a DIY for the rear speakers too... its a big job for the rear speakers..
but other than those few pointers have fun... also you do wanna install your fuse under the hood and not in the trunk
check into new top post terminals too.. i picked up some for my car at parts express and it was a lil work to make the wires fit but its NICE to have..
have fun and post up pics..
