Where do you get Optima batteries?
Everyone here recommends Optima batteries. I checked their website and it said that Advance Auto Parts carries them. When I went there to see if it was in stock, not only was it not, but they can't get it at all. Why are Civic batteries so tough to get?

i got my optima thru my pals shop... i got it semi new ( it was the battery they had on display for like 1 and a half years ) for 50 bucks..
ive seen optimas all over the place.. i think best buy might even have em .. i seen a optima banner in the install bay when i went in there to get a wire harness for my friends car..
only problem i have with the optima is the size of em.. no more battery shroud , and making the factory battery tire down fit was a bitch.. but other than that is a nice battery.. i got a yellow top

I would get one at a local stereo shop by me, but thats cause they would discount it and cut me a deal. I have brought them alot of business; between my stereo system, my sister's stereo system, my sisters remote starter, and much more with friends.
Otherwise I would probably go dezod

the civic battery is not much bigger than a crotch rocket battery .. well the size of an optima battery is nearly double of the factory battery..
i got mine to fit by removing the battery shroud ( black plastic around the battery ) , sittin it down on the metal plate the battery rests on ... and making a slight bend in the factory battery tie down to use it to hold the optima in..
its a huge battery compared to the civic one.. go look at a 2003 monte carlo SS battery ... its about the same sized as it ..
the optima fits underneath the hood... i dont have factory battery terminals so i cant speak about them ... i put on different terminals when i put a system in my car..
