Alpine harness URGENT!!
Hey guys im in the middle of installing my soundsystem in my car, i been working on it for the past 2 days straight, the only real problem ive run into is that i dont have the wiring harness for the alpine headunit (CDA-9853). Does anyone know where i can order a wiring harness that will connect the cars harness to the alpine head unit? any websites or anything please? or local stores that might be around? cartoys didnt have em =\ thanks guys.
also, i bought 5x7 rear deck speakers instead of 6x9 on accident, would it still sound fine if i went to home depot and bought some wood to drill into the 6x9 mounting holes on the car then cut a hole in the wood to fit my smaller 5x7 speakers? like make an adapter out of wood?

Okay, you can go to Walmart and get the harness. 6x9's usually contrain a tweeter, mid and bass part. A 5x7 will usually have high and mid, so you won't get any low end out of the rears, but when it comes to competing people usually don't even hook up the rears or have them turned down alot for imaging reason. I know mine are turned wayyyyyyy down.

fuuuuuuck i dont have a walmart in this part of my state haha any other ideas of where i could get it for sure? cartoys didnt have it so i dunno... its alpine if that changes anything, would bestbuy have it? or any other big "EVERYTHING" stores like walmart?
as for the rear speakers im NOT worried about having too little bass. im gonna be bumpin a 12w7 with a 1000/1 amp in the trunk. as long as they fit in and sound alright ill be happy. the higher freq in the rear may be better even, cuz there gonna be getting so much bass from the trunk.

Best Buy should have it, In my car i have Components up front with them (midrand and tweeter) in kick panels and midbass drivers in the doors. My 6 1/2" are in the rear but you can't notice they are there. I have 1 S12L7 Kicker SoloBaric with KX650.4 running my midbass, midrange, and highs. A Kicker 600.1 running my sub. The key to it all is having the imaging right. You want you music coming from the front middle part of your car. Like your at a concert. The bass you want to not be able to notice where it is coming from. If you can tell its coming from the rear then you need to adjust everything for correct imaging. But of course this for SQ contests and people who are serious about there stereos.

alright ill check bestbuy tomorrow. if not, know any website that might?
yea i want it to sound good, but im probably not gonna be competing with the system. do you think it will still sound decent if i just turn those speakers down somewhat i guess? and how do i do that? do i just fade it foward?
my front speakers are 6 1/2s and are components, the tweeters are mounted in the OEM location. Alpine speakers/tweeters. then the rear is 5x7s that came with tweeters as well. should i use those tweeters and mount them near the headrests somewhere or something? or should i just not hook up the tweeters?

try them both ways, whichever way you like, go for it.
With the alpine harness, stores dont sell them. you can go to bestbuy.com/partssearch and order it there or go to your local audio shops and talk to the installers. I know my box and all the other installers at my bay are full of misc. harness and parts we accumulate over time. If the guys not a jerk I'll hook him up and give it to him. You'll get a better chance if you have something in return for them.

or I believe they sell them on ebay as well.
I would check the your local audio store though. Even if they don't have them here, you mostly likely can order them off them.
