good 6.5"s for gf

My girlfriend wants some better speakers in her car(2001 Sentra). She wants something with a little more bass than her stock w/o putting in a sub. I do not have the money for an amp right now(broke *** college student) but I want something that will sound nice for the mean time that I can probably add an amp to later.
Any suggestions?

She has 6.5s all around.

Thanks

factory headunit or aftermarket? You can get a lot better sound out of factory speakers by just upgrading the headunit. If you dont want to spend a whole lot of money, Infinity, Pioneer, or Boston Acoustics low end should suit nicely.

how much $ do you have to spend ? Are you thinking of replacing all four ?

If only two - replace the fronts and spend a little more on them.

I havn't decided on replacing just the front 2 or all 4. For just the front two, I am looking to spend a little more though like you said.

Throw some models at me and Ill decide if its affordable or not.

well i went ahead and ordered a pair of Infinity Reference 6012i 6-1/2" 2-way Speakers off of Crutchfield for 69.99. Hell of a deal. They were 99.99 on sale for 79.99, found on online coupon for $10 AND free shipping.

I Just Bought 4 Kicker Ks60 Series Speakers For My Civic And They Have Great Sound Quality With My Stock Stereo And I Bought Them From Crutchfield.com For $70 A Pair. They Have 120 Watts Peak Power And I Think 60 Watts Rms So In All They Some Pretty Good Speakers And Crutchfield.com Will Supply All Of The Wireing Harness And Brackets For Damn Near Free So You Should Probably Look Into That.

LuZion - the Infinities will sound better than stock - but you'll really find out how well they stack up once you amp them.

I would have recommended Boston Acoustics - hope the Infinities work out well !

Pioneer sucks when it comes to low end without an amp.. Your best bet is to get Kenwood 6.5 they are very enexpensive and they have a good low end sound to them on the head unit alone. Look at ebay for them they cant be more than 75 for all four.
