yea well it should fit into ONE of the TWO slots on the double din one.. its double din as in 2 single din slots... do i put the whole head unit through the fit kit or do i just put the fit kit over the front of it? cuz it SORTA fits if i do it that way... then do i take off the trim peice from the headunit?

alright i guess i figured it out, sorry i was just upset when i first tried it cuz i thought it was supposed to slide in from the front when really it does from the back. mods can close this now...
This is how I get the thing installed correctly......
Take the center panel out from the car(I think you already did that), then take off the faceplate of the Alpine. You have to cut off the center piece from the trim kit. Screw in the 4 screws to hold the Alpine, and with the trim plate on the panel, adjust the angle of how the Alpine face while looking at the panel. There's a DIY that has picture showing this. Also note that you have to use the holes marked 8mm max(or 5, I forgot) and they are the ONLY screw holes that will fit the Honda support. It really depends on whether you have a swing or regular face, but the trom should go AROUND, not OVER the face....

Anyway, I understand that it is harder to have the HU at the bottom than at the top, because you can have any angle on the top, and bottom one may be fixed for EQ(like me) or whatever. I tried installing at the bottom but ended up breaking the trim...Anyway, I was successful at the end. You can glue the trim to the panel so that it won't move while you adjust the HU. Also, it looks better from having it glued, because sometimes you make minor errors and the trim can come out easily......

Take this peice off as i did here:
Then put this peice on like this:

then it looks like this?

or am i totally missing something? that seems to simple haha

It is exaclty like that except you have to put the factory cage back to the panel for supporting the HU. The factory cage should line up with the screw holes, but it is a little tough here because the holes are made in double size (upper and lower holes connected) for the lower support and you have to play with the angle. But still, since you get a swing face, it is better to cut off the middle piece from the trim that separates the upper and lower part. And make sure you take out the whole center panel that holds AC, EM light, etc. and using the short screws supplied by Alpine to screw it to the factory support cage. Try adjust your angles of the head unit until you find the angle that works without any interference from the trim.

You can try. If the center piece does interferene the motion, then remove it. But usually removing the center piece will gurantee a better fit because it is more flexible to move up/down with the HU. And sometimes if you made a mistake (wrong angle), the face plate won't go in. So make sure that you do the installation right, especially on the lower level.
