ATTN: CD Player in Center console?

I was browsing through the member rides one day...and i saw someone had a CD player in their center console. you know that sliding hideaway storage area? yeah he had a cd player mounted there...i was wondering if any of you knew who did it so i could find out just how he did that ... etc etc. because i am gonna get a TV screen that folds out for my dash, and im still gonna need a DVD/CD player so i need another aplace where i can mount it ...... ideas and suggestions aer welcome and if your confused lemme know. All thats really necessary is extending the existing wiring harness to reach the console and using fiberglass to mold a compartment for the head unit. Actually you may not even need to fiberglass it it may fit the way it is u just have to figure out a way to mount it.

the lower slot is 1 din size, you just remove the sleeve and you cna just fit the thing in there

Mounting isn't too hard. Just ise Plumers straps and foam between the top unit and hold them together like that. Also you can make small plastic or Fiberglass mounts to help secure the bottom of the lowe DIN Unit.

Im pretty sure derek has this i havent checked the pics in a while. 2k1civic under members rides. And not for nothing but we gave you the general outline about how this is done. If you have no idea on what we are saying then maybe you should leave the job to a professional. Personally i wouldnt tell anybody EXACTLY how i did something, i would give them the general outline and see what they come up with. Im not flaming here im just speaking my opinion. Thats the whole joy of this hobby is experimenting, if what you try doesnt work then try something different.
