Ya I was going to say get a CB radio with the PA feature. That way. you can do it "legally",plus you have someone to talk to on road trips.

Also Useful for speed traps, truckers tend to let you know bout them. The idea behind getting a cb, wth ia magnet-mount attenna, if you get pulled over, you can say the mic is for the CB. Also, I found out Yellow Headlights are LEGAL is Savannah, GA.

dont you need a 5 foot antenna for those to work good?

I checked into Ontarios traffic laws about air horns, they told me if you use air horn to scare pedestrians as they cross the street you can get a ticket for noise pollution, the law does not state anything about air horns only being allowed on trucks.

With the yelp signal, if you imperrsonate a cop yes there illegla if you dont then there not. All the security guards for the TTC have that signal and there not cops, other securty companies have cherries in there back window that they use when there parked, thats legal, but if they started chasing a car useing yelp and signals and pulled someone over that would be illegal.

P.A's are definatly not illegal unless you consider the noise pollution factor

with regards to all three in Ontario, the units themselves are not illegal, its how you use em.

One of my friends a few years back had a retired police car. It was a 94 caprice. it was white, had the searchlight, and he had a cb radio in there with a PA on it. We also wired up the headlights to flash...

anyway one night a bunch of us went to dinner and had to take seperate cars. I was driving a 88 Dodge Daytona and my friend in the caprice decides to play cop. The light turned green and we both floored it and he gets on the PA saying cop stuff like "pull over" etc. People in the other cars were getting out of the way and stuff... we come flying around a corner and there's a state trooper... let's just say it was not good. My friend had his headlights flashing and everything. Needless to say he does not have the car anymore.

Yeah, having a PA is cool.

depends on how big ur speaker is you prolly could remove the front bumper and hook it up behind the bumper facing out if its a small speaker if you got a huge one then your might have to find some where you can squeez it in at

Just want to revive this post before it dies - has anyone actually installed a PA speaker in their civic? The front bumper idea sounds pretty ace, but I was wondering if anyone actually had any real life experience with this particular install. I have my system now, so this is obviously the next step ;-)

I had air horns installed in the passenger side behind the front bumper and there was tons of room back there. Just be sure to point the speaker down so water wont collect inside the cone.

CB's are awesome. Get a Cobra. That's the kind I just took out of my car. Great for loneliness on the road and for speed traps.

hey guys i just read this thread and its funny because i got one of those sirens here is the pic its right by my seat. i installed the mic behind the front bumber and the wheel wel. mine isnt that as load as a cop car but people still hear it good and it has the mic with the police horn, police siren and the ambulance siren, its pritty cool when friends are around and on the highway when some one is causing traffic.
