Just make sure you don't use the deck when your car is turn off. If you read the owners manual, it will say that some where in it. Its also common sense as well. Enjoy your N2.

In summary, get a new battery if you feel like watching movies or listening to music while your cars off. Stock alt should be fine.

thier is a very simple trick to get passed the whole not being able to watch a dvd while driving. it all has to do with the parking break. but it is illegal to do it or tell you how to do it, and i don't wanna get your thread closed.

sounddomain.com, elitecaraudio.com and several other forums have the e-brake bypass detailed on them. It involves a rocker/toggle switch to the best of my recollection.
I spend way too much time on this website

I don't know how to do it personally, but I've seen it done.

Actually, there is. I'm gonna post it here(pending approval of moderators which I'll be pm'ing to ask), but do not come back to me if you mess your unit up, because I, in no way will take respoisibility. This has been guranteed to work by several people, and I know a shop that has done this and it work as well. There are two ways. The one I mentioned above requires too much work to install toggle switches, etc, but the method I'm about to post does work and is easy to do. However should you decide to try this, you void any warranty you may have remaining from Pioneer, as they do not warranty equipment that has been messed with to enable the lockout feature. The following method will unlock everything, except you still get the laywer pop-up on the navigation stuff. I don't know of any way to get rid of that. It does, however require some skill with solder, and you have to be very careful in doing this so as not to mess anything up. The mod only takes about 5 minutes, if that. I'll ask Mega if I can post it then get back to you.
