Arrow Is this amp repairable?

Hey guys/gals,

I bought a used amp a few days ago, it's a Pioneer Premier 644., it's a 4-channel. Went to the installer to get it installed today, only to find out that
1 of the 6 RCA sockets is missing. To be exact, it's the piece that grips onto the jack of the cable when you plug it in (white ring covered with gold plate) so the only part showing is this round black piece with the hole in the middle.

Is this an easy fix? A friend of mine good with soldering said I can try to order the part or just rip a socket out of something I don't use anymore and he can solder it on. Do you guys think this would be affect the amp?

I did have the amp tested and it does work and the socket the only problem. If it's not a big deal I'd rather just fix it then to go through the hassle of buying/selling.

Thanks!

thats easily fixable. Open up the amp to see what kind of rca connectors they use, go to radioshack and get a replacement. Solder it in place and your set.

^What he said. If the amp has a bad RCA connector and the circuit board is still in good shape (not broken or chipped from the rca jack being damaged) then you can simply find an RCA terminal that in similiar in size and solder a new set in place of the old set. Amp will work just fine as long as the board wasn't damaged.

Desolder one of the line output terminals if you dont be using them and swap it with your bad input terminal.
