That's exactly where i have my remote base control. It takes about 10 mins to take out the center console. Once you got it out, unplug the cigarette lighter. Pop out the plastic piece.
Now there's really no way to hold the controller in place. So what I did was superglued the face of the controller to the back of the piece. I have it there for a year now and the superglue seems to be holding it pretty tight. It might get sloppy so have something to wipe the glue before it dries, and super glue does dry pretty fast.

there should be 2 squares in the center console, one would be for oem fogs if you have them, otherwise it will be blank. the one that I installed my bass **** in would be for the sunroof controls, but I obviously don't have a sunroof, so there it is.

If you want to do it where the coin tray thing is, there's one screw at the top that you can get at when you open it up.
If you want to do it in the center console piece, search.

i wanna do it where the power outlet thing is.. but i been searching and i cannot find anything on it... i really wanna do it soon... my main question is do i have to take out like the whole thing including the part where the shift **** is in order to get to those squares or does that bottom part com out by itself?

Hey, this is where my bass **** is located, I have the sunroof button so that wasn't a choice, i like it where it is, easy to get to.
[QUOTE=steven10]i have the basslink remote... and i wanna install it in one of those squares right there
That's where I put both of mine.... U would have to take off the top mounting bracket most likely so that it will fit. I have 2 amps so both of those slots r filled

Jay78, it won't distort anything, doesn't do a single thing to mine. On my Cd player i don't have the crossovers hooked up at all. Its all going through the Kicker KQ30 30 band EQ.

yeah, sounds like you had your gain way too high and them when you added the bass boost it got distorted. Mine was like that for a while until I had time to tune it. Just turn the gain down alittle and use the bass boost to control bass levels.

Try the DIY headunit install it shows you how to take it out. 01-03, you can pull it off. 04 plus (maybe 03) you have to take more apart.
I still like where White Rabbit installed that one he did best. Undet the E-brake in that pocket. He drilled the hole and it came out under the e-brake, on the vertical side. Looked real clean and you wouldn't see it unless you looked.
