My Polk Amp Install on Back Seat

Here's a pic of my Amp install. If anyone cares how I did it let me know and I'll post details. Basically I took off the backing of the seat, screwed two aluminum bars to the frame and ran the wiring inside the upholstry backing to the amp through a slit in the fabric.
I put the seat back together and screwed the amp to the frame I created for it. The end result is that the amp looks like it's just sitting on the back when the seat is pulled down, and when the seat is up it's mounted out of the way.
The main reason I did this is I can fold the seat down and get to all the amp controls, and did not want to take much trunk space to mount it.
When I get a better amp for the sub I'll mount that next to the big amp on the smaller seat.

Nope. Wires pretty much stay in place. I left a bit of play so it could expand slightly. The only problem I still have is the trunk liner doesn't like to stay down in that spot...just been to lazy to tack it in with some velcro...

to keep it flat and clean I bent the ends of the two aluminum flats I used into a hook(picked up at a hardware store for like $6 total), and hooked em under the bottom of the seat frame before screwing them into the frame.
I saw the idea about putting some wood under the upholstry but felt that it would distort how flat the back was, and I wanted it to look like nothing had really been done to the seat.

As a side note I really adore the polk carbon 400.4 amp. It's driving a set of 4 polk momo 6.5's, and it's not only loud but it's as clear as a bell. I get the feeling I can hear the pick scraping across the strings in guitar solos. The Amp takes a bit of tuning to make just right, but it's worth the effort. I'll always recommend Polk, and especially the momo series. They sound amazing. Now all I need to do is replace the not so hot subs and sub amp to make the sound perfect. The subs are crap, but they do fill out the low end nicely, but they don't hit as hard as the 6.5" Polk speakers.
Polk carbon sub amp on the way, then I'm thinking one 15" sub instead of two 12" subs...might save some space and should hit like a ton of bricks.

I'm planning on doing that for my infinity amp... or taking the spare out and building a false floor... personallly the floating amp idea looks cooler
