Clarion is a very nice brand.......I am partial to Kenwoods though. Check out www.crutchfield.com.....the prices are kind of high, but they have comprehnsive explanations and descriptions of just about all of their audio equipment. Good luck!

The top 4 in reliabilty go to Alpine, Clarion , Pioneer and Kenwood..... Top sound go to Eclipse Nakamichi and Clarion's higher end stuff( All reliable as well) Best overall... Pretty Much Alpine or Pioneer for features,,,, Panasonics are good from what I hear but for the amount of features and the lower prices I don't trust that they use high quality componnets.. They might.. but I doubt it.

Cheers

Yeah it all depends on budget... basicallly through my experience with decks being a car audio salesman it goes as follows

Kenwood = fair sound, good qaulity
ROckford fosgate= Realy GOod sound qaulity (made by eclipse shhh dont tell ne one)
Pioneer = good sq really good features and really fair price
Sony = flashy graphics, crappy qaulity tho
JVC= one word.......CRAP
ahahah hope that helps take kare buddy! LONG LIVE CIVIC 2k1
