Unhappy Pioneer Headunit Issues

When I adjust my balance all the way to the left or all the way to the right I notice a lot more bass from my rear speakers then when its balanced. I have a aftermarket headunit, Premier DEH-P8MP. Any ideas what could be causing this?

just set the deck to what sounds best to you. there is no "best setting" just set it to what sounds good to you.
