hahaha its computer generated
. I did it in photoshop 1/2 with a pic from my car and 1/2 with a pic of the highway with a police officer.
anyway the point is that its illegal to have any 'moving' image on a screen visable to the driver while on the road. driving or stopped its illegal to have it even wired like that... which i dont... errr... *shifty eyes*

Yeah, i get scared all the time when i see a car coming up behind me at night and i can't tell what it is. I usually take off my hat and put it over the screen.
If i do see a cop coming up behind me, i just flip down the screen.

lol cause the PA tint laws suck. i just have eyes everywhere and a switch to kill the video if i see a popo.
in pa tint must be light enough for an officer to see through at night. which means as long as he is in a good mood he won't care. if he is mad at you he can nail you for almost any tint. stupid pa.

its only in the front i should have said that. no tint is allowed to cover the greater part of the windshield in the front and like said before has to be see through in the front windows. the rear can be pretty much anything.

i can't wait to get my dvd/navigation, I had a flip down before in my blazer and nothing was ever said to me about movies or games. Cops would drive by and just look. The cops here must not care as much as others on the forums.

well cops around here arent used to seeing any cars that are even in good condition. this area is so freakin poor. so they probably dont even look for that kind of thing as they never see it except on 1 other car i know about that has it that the driver can see it.

Why are you playing dvd while driving?? it people like you get who end up killing someone because your head was in the tv and not driving. Then the laws get tough and then people like us just get pulled over because we just have a screen out and only playing music cds.
Man getting pulled over for tv thats just dumb, it is worse than getting pulled over for tint. I have talked to cops and they said they really do not care about tint and even less about tvs, i guess it depends on where you live.
Oh yeah another thing, i see cops with their laptop on all the time, what the hell!!!!

the law is navigation, vehicle info ie tach g-force, music text, can show while driving but dvd's or anything else cant. and i want cops to have their laptops out running every ones plates every chance they get because when they find your stolen car or the car registered to the guy who shot your friend because they had laptops out you wont question it.
Yeah but whats the difference, do they train cops to look at a screen and drive, or would it jsut be worth it for them to risk crashing to catch someone or look up their plates?
Plain and simple, it is a dumb law, and i would be sickened if i was ticketed for such an "offense".

So here is my sceneraio:
I was watching a music VCD. so its music videos. When the screen is up at night its dimmed to the lowest level so that I can easily see around it.
Fortunatly, or unfortunatly, I have learned how to ignore it and usually forget its on. What I do anymore is have it switched off (the video) so that I cannot get pulled over then look down and be like "****, forgot that was playing"
I know you should play something to drive. I know you won't believe me about ignoring it. Just know i do not do this all the time. maybe 1, 2 times a month at night. in the day time its useless cause of where it is. and im usually not driving at night much... just 3 miles from my girlfriends house to mine.
So spare me the "thats wrong" speeches. I know I agree. I promise this isnt a regular occurance, just something a little more rare!
EDIT: local cops here are 100% pencil pushers. you see 1 car out maybe 2 times year. im serious.
state police barracks is about .75 miles from my house so its always them. they always have the laptops on too. so i feel its messed up for me to not be able to watch a movie and they are allowed to type on a laptop! I know that is no basis for action, unless you are a true piece of trash, but I do feel its a little bit ridiculous.

Get a radar detector and wire it into your screen so that it shuts off if the detector goes off. Most cops in my area have their radar running all the time, so radar = cop (or possible cop depending on how sensitive the detector is).
