I used 8 leds that are stuck onto the top of the trunk where the speakers are. Its hard cause the surface isn't flat, and a few have fallen off occasionally. I need to get some mounting tape and redo a couple sometime. But its those bright apc leds that come in an 8-pack of 4 connected to each other. I tried bottom lighting and really wasn't very visible. I think it would look good on yours since the amps all have silver/chrome to reflect light off.
That setup with the pioneer amp on the seat back looks nice, but you could prolly get a bracket and paint it flat black to put over the wire part where it connects to the amp.

I actually have my RCA's and power cable running on the same side of my car. I hear no extra noises coming from any of my speakers or subs for that matter. I think you should stick with at least double shielded RCA's, triple is even better for that matter. I'm pretty sure my RCA's are touching my 4 gauge power cable along the side of my car. Still no problems at all.
well, maybe we should keep this thread on trunk installs, so noone gets the wrong idea about debatable topics, such as alternator whine causation and neccessity of RCA quality. (not to mention definitions of RCA quality!)

i bet, what kind of amps you running? My box is 3.25 ft³, thats the maximum for a ported box for the Kicker S12L7. You can't see the port, its underneith the left amp, hidden very well.

hey xRiceBoyx how much power do you have going to that type r?
i just got two of them.
i've heard of a lot pf ppl putting the type r 12's into big ported boxes (2.5 cubes) with a thousand watts (rms not peak) going to them and hitting crazy numbers with these things.

2.5ft³ just doesn't seem like that would be big enough for the 2 subs. I have a 3.25ft³ for my 1 S12L7 and its ported. You check the specs on them to see the maximum ported volume for a box?

Thats fine then, It just didn't sound right to me. You can putt more watts to a sub then the RMS, they just won't last as long.

WhiteRabbit, /\ to me? I saying if you push the max watts of subs they won't last as long, vs. pushing them at their RMS.

Car is back from paint, and the amps will return this evening, and everything should be wired up by tonight if not early morning. Then i must pick my baby (my car! not a real baby) up and drive her around! Feels like its been months without her.
