weird amp problem
i relocated my amp that powers the 4 in car speakers to rear of the back seat, i used the same grounding point when i rehooked it up but now it seems anything electrical mess's with the stereo volume. for example, i roll down my windows and when the window gets all the way down it makes the volume "sink" to a low level and it raises back up to normal. it even happens from time to time when i'm driving. its really annoying. any ideas?
Might sound dumb but do you know about the ASL (auto-sound-leveler?) ? Some Pioneer decks have this feature that adjusts the volume with increses in vehicle RPM or engine noise. IDK, just throwing suggestions.

Do you have a cap hooked to your system? Interested in seeing what your voltage drops down to. Does the battery light come on? Hmmm interesting....

i dont have a voltage meter so i cant see what thats like. so far a number of things are wrong. all these will make the volume "sink" down like i explained earlier
windows up/down
doors lock/unlock
going from on to acc. with the ignition key
on the tv screen when i select a option on the screen
just driving around it will happen on its own.
and it could just be my hearing but at times it seems the treble is way down or the bass is way up.
its really unstable.
also as the volume goes down the light highlighting "D" on the gauge cluster also fades like its losing power.
i dont know what the hell happened?!

I think the source of the problem will make itself apparent over time, probably in the next couple of days. I think it's your charging system.

Hmmm, have your battery tested first off I would say...more than likely part of the problem...if it is bad go with a yellow top! If battery is good, then the Alternator is on its way out!! Are you sure you dont have any wires grounding out anywhere in the system? Just a thought! I would start at the battery tho!!

thing is my other amp (which powers my subs) still works fine, no problems with that one. it was after i hooked up this amp that the sh*t hit the fan.

recheck your grounds, maybe when you regrounded it didnt make a solid enough connection. It sounds like your charging system isnt able to support your car's needs and your stereo's needs at the same time. Like everyone else said, take it to have the charging and electrical system checked.
