subs make popping noise

hello! i have 4 orion subs hooked up to a 4000 watt MA amp. lately, when i plug in the rca's to the amp the subs make a wierd popping noise and dont play any music at all. i have an alpine deck that is probably around 2 years old, any suggestions on what to do?

is the popping continous? or does it just occur once when you plug in the rca's?

just when i plug in the RCA's but no music plays through them whatsoever
