Man I haven't gotten an email from 7th gen in like 2 years and this one pops back up...
an Optima battery instead of a H/O alternator won't do much since the battery is only there to start your car. If your draining your stock battery all the time it's because your wiring is too small (alt-battery, battery to ground and battery to amps). Or your just pulling way too much power, or your alternator is on it's way out.
