The kit is the Metra 99-7865, you will need to modify it (cut the middle divider out, easy) to get the unit in

you can probably buy it but i believe for some reason the kit is not the smae
just get the metra, it looks good, the color isn't quite perfect on mine but the trim is so narrow that it doesn't really matter.. if you had a dash kit it wouldnt matter at all

The console for the 05 special editions can be had for $60 online. it'll look better than the metra.
Double Din doesn't need a mounting kit in the 7th gen civic. it screws right into the existing metal factory harness/brace that holds the stock stereo. I know this for a fact b/c that's what I have in my car. no muss, no fuss.
I haven't purchased the 05 SE dash piece though. I'll probably buy it when I get some extra cash.

Take the entire console out and use the ISO mount screws. You may have to drill the factory cage, but the unit will be secures in there and can't be taken out with radio keys.
Here is a picture of the Head Unit I just installed in my 03 LX sedan.
It was as simple as removing the stock head unit, the dash pocket, and screwing in the double din unit.
No Muss, No Fuss. The screw holes lined up just fine. There is no dash kit whatsoever on there.
As funds become available, I might purchase the 05 SE console piece for a tighter look, but as of now, it's not bothering me too much.

I just sent this message to PlasmaGT as well:
According to my local Honda dealer, the console piece is the same for the LX and EX special edition. The part number he gave me is for the sedan. I think the coupe is the same, but I'm not sure. The local Honda dealer can get the part in one day for $81. I found it online for approx $61.

Thanks Plasma GT. I just bought the 05 Civic SE Console Assembly piece for the double din radio from the Honda Dealer. So I hope I wont need any Metra Kits for my AVIC-D1 install besides the wiring harness at least I hope
