Speaker hissing when using satellite radio

I have a 05 Honda Civic Coupe. It has the factory radio and the in-dash CD changer. I just installed a Soundgate docking station so that I could keep the CD changer and still directly wire my Sirius Starbase to the aux. input. It works great, accept that now when I listen to the CD changer or Sirius radio I hear a high pitched whine in the background. It's coming from the speakers and it's really annoying. When the engine is off, there's no noise. When the rev's increase, so does the noise. I tried installing a ground loop isolator, but it didn't help. I'm desperate at this point!!!

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
Colin

have any power wires running near/across speaker wires? That's a common way to get ground noise from an amp, might be something to look into.

I grounded them together on the same part of the chassis. Should the grounds be in separate locations?

honda860 has a little shameless behaviour in the past
yeah id say it most likly a ground issue. check your grounds on your amp and the grounds for the other connections. I dont think it matters if you ground them together or not because I did. Until I read your post better I thought cus you had it transmitting wirelessly. BUt im 90% its a ground

check and make sure your RCA's are plugged in and have good connection. Make sure the RCA's are not damaged. When you did your ground..... are sure you sanded away paint. Sometimes you make think its metal when its really paint. You would be surprised. Signal cables should be away from power wire.
your grounds shouldnt be in seperate locations. try and put all your grounds in one place. if you have grounding points all over your vehicle for electronic stuff, thats a common way to get engine noise. Do you have neons or anything? unplug those and see if you still get the problem

I have two ground points that I'm using for my accessories. What I'll do is consolidate all of them into on point and make sure that it's good and clean. Hopefully that'll fix the issue. I'll be sure to let you guys know if it does the trick. Thanks for all your help so far.

I found the problem. THe Soundgate unit was getting interference from the electrical wires in the dash. Once I moved the unit to a place under the center console, the buzzing went away. Thanks for all your help.
