Question about my Monster 201XLN RCA
I'm doing my first install and I am confused thanks to conflicting instructions and diagrams. I have a 4 channel Monster 201XLN RCA cables with a ground wire on one end (it's not a remote turn-on wire btw). The instructions call for hooking up the ground wire to the headunit's ground. However, the instructions on my Kenwood 8401 amp says to connect the RCA ground wire to the "RCA cable ground lead terminal."
I asked a friend about it but his RCA's don't have a ground. Here's a pic of what it looks like, only mine is 5 meters in length. Thanks for the help.

Nick is right, most shops cut them off....
But the right way of doing it would be to use the same ground as your head unit. The ground on your RCA's is there to isolate any ground noise coming from your radio.
