how do i get video to play without hooking the grren wire to the e-brake? i want to play video while the car is going down the road. i tried sticking it to a hot wire but it didnt work. any advice?

if it's supposed to go to the e-brake, it's supposed to be a ground wire, not a live wire. if there's a sequence you have to perform with the e-brake, like the Alpine HUs, then you need it to be on a switched ground, so you can simulate pulling the e-brake.

holy sh*t...now im not the only person on the board with this headunit! well i have the 9905....its just blue instead of red. i really couldn't help you with your question, except that i know its possible.....but if you are trying to make this your only video source..you're probably not going to like it. i tried a ps2 going to it and you couldn't see a damn thing...i ended up relocating and putting an indash in like 2 weeks after i got it. anyways...just wanted to chime in. good luck

no and now i have a new set of problems. when i play a cd music comes out of all speakers but when the radio is on it only comes out of the passenger speakers. i cant figure out why but it is really pissing me off.

damn, that sucks! but i know what you mean about the damn thing pissing you off! mine has been at The Good Guy's since may 15th getting repaired. none of my cds would play correctly..they would skip at every turn or bump in the road...even the brand new cd's i bought. also, the screen would freeze and it would read "FAILURE"

i want to get a new deck but i don't know which one to get.

now i guess we know why nobody recommends sony lol...but that display was too sweet to pass up...unfortunately i didn't do my homework on it first...so I (we) got screwed.
