I want to get some MB Quart PWE 352 (or 354s if better) but I don't know which amp is better to hook them up. I am considering the MB Quart Reference RAA2400 2-channel car amplifier (200 watts RMS x 2 4ohms or 400 watts x 2 2-ohms or 800x1 4-ohms min) or the MB Quart Reference RAA1000 (250x1 4ohms or 500 watts x 1 2ohms or 1000 watts RMS x 1 1ohm).

I tried reading topics in other forums on the speakers but they only confused me more since I am a noob at car audio. What I thought is that I would be unable to get 800x1 RMS from the RAA2400 since it is 4 ohms minimum and the PWE 352 is 2 ohm so I should go with the PWE 354s which are 4-ohm component speakers. That's the best set up I could figure out but I would appreciate if someone with better knowledge of car audio could help me out.

get the RAA1000 and whatever subs will get you a 1 ohm load

if the subs are dual voice coil, get the dual 4 ohm version and wire it in parallel/parallel.

Thanks for the suggestion but I was hoping to get the Subs moreso than the amps. The MB Quarts subs are marked down to $120 (2ohm) and $150 (4ohm) which is why I wanted to hop on them while they are cheap.

the amps are good too and its always nice when your equipment all matches
