Question Can I use something other than dynamat for my speakers?

I was just wondering if there was anything other than dynamat or expensive stuff I could use for my subs and speakers, especially if I had it laying around the house. Thanks for the help.

fatmat hushmat stuff like that
but for stuff laying around the house im not sure what u could use maybe u could trying experimenting with stuff. for thick areas u could try using cardboard but i dont think that would really help any. carpet padding for under the spare tire and stuff around there i think can help reduce road noise. but im not sure if ur wanting to use stuff around the house just mess around with stuff see what can work

there are a variety of brands just like dynamat that sell products for less than the cost of dynamat...
raam mat www.raamaudio.com
brown bread www.b-quiet.com
second skin www.secondskinaudio.com
edead www.edesignaudio.com
and i probably forgot a bunch more...
if youre looking for ghetto things that you can use from home, then tell me, what is it youre trying to achieve through deadening?
kill a rattle? dampening? road noise? adding random weight to your car?

alot of that is from tires. Get quieter tires and problem solved.

don't ghetto

Spend a Benjamin and get some professional sound deadening material and carpet padding. You'll impress yourself how easy it is to make your car sound dead-er/quieter than an accord.
