wiring the ground
wiring the ground
ok, i have 3 grounds going to a distribution block, 2 are 4 guage, 1 is 8 guage. i was told that since i have all that going to a dist block i should get 0 guage to go to the chassis. well i though this up, what if i ground the dist block to the chassis by using 2 4 guage wires. would this increase my resistance? or should i be able to get away with 1 4 guage to chassis?
now heres where i tell what i have cuz i like to do that. i have a jvc khd700 head unit, the 6's and 6x9's are planet audio being powered by a soundstorm 800 watt 4 channel amp. i have 2 audiobahn 12" aw1206t subwoofers in a p4s ported enclosure, powered by a hifonics brutus 2005d monoblock, sending 2000w rms. i also have a pyle 6 farad cap. stock battery and alt. i would like to someday toss the audiobahns and get some mtx9500's. and i dont know about that cap. i should take it off and see if there is any difference.

Leave the cap in there, about ground you can use the 2 4 gauge and make a thicker cable but why you don't buy a 0 gauge wire you just need at least one foot, plus remember the the shorter that the ground is the better gonna be and also clean where you gonna connect I mean no paint or ETC...and make sure it's tight.
