I cant find it now, but there was a tech bulletin (i.e. known issue) issued to Honda dealerships specifically regarding the rear deck rattle. Talk to your local dealer, they fixed mine for free.

rolled up a few paper towels bout the size of a wallet and shoved it in between the deck-brakelight lens and the chassis frame itself, problem solved in less than 2 minutes total hehe
oh, and i just did that to my boy's a4 and fixed his rear deck rattle too, 2 minutes, hehe

I think someone mentioned that the rear deck hits a piece of plastic covering the seatbelt anchor? Mine rattles a little bit too with certain bass frequencies. I'll have to open up the rear deck again later on and check that seatbelt thingie out.
I used insulation tape around all of the areas on the rear deck that make contact with the metal. It really helps, though there is still some rattle over bumps. When I put new 6x9s in the back, i could not use two of the pop rivets on the outside close to the window.
did you happen to miss the 2 bolts holding on the rear deck? I did
gonna put them back in today *sigh*
also, would it matter if one of those weird plastic clips that you can see when you put the seat down goes missing? they don't seem to do much.

What two bolts are you talking about? Only white plastic clips here

Today as i was driving home i lowered my radio and asd the bass hit i heard some bad rattling it sounded like a piece of metal was vibrating and i must of spent hours ripping my car apart trying to figure out what was going on.
ya it drives me nuts too. I figure when I have some more time (ie summer) I'm thinking of dynamating my trunk, for now I buckled all the rear seat belts so they wouldn't rattle. Something this simple only takes a few seconds and cuts down on the rattling a little bit. + I think it looks a little bit better.
