i dont know about the type s

i have two 12 inch alpine type r's. they hit real hard. very distinct sound too. quality sound but is is loud as hell... i am pushing them with a alpine amp (mrd-m500) correct me if i am wrong but the type s's are cheaper then the type r's??? to anyone that wants good subs though, i would reccomend the type r's. alpine is the way to go.

I heard the Alpine Scion in Vegas with the $1K system and I gotta say it sounded pretty damn nice! If you have the money go for it!

Wow, and I was looking to spend $1k on just a type X sub and Alpine 1000 mono amp.

I say go for it. In 9 years of car stereos, Alpine has never let me down.

IMO, that looks like a package for those whom are lazy to piece out equipment by themselves. of course, alpine has a very good rep, but if you have kept up to date with car audio electronics, u would know you have better and more options for 1g. my .02

its a good package, but im just ******* the price cause you could get more and "better" equpiment with 1g. seems like something my sister would want as she doesnt know jack **** about ICE and just want a little boom boom

And this behavior is exactly why the government is passing all sorts of laws against people with loud stereos...

it depends on what the buyer wants and what he or she is trying to achieve. if i could start all over, my set-up with 1k would be something like this:

pioneer mp3 head unit - 250
2 12" alpine type-r - 250
mono block amp - 200
front components - 150
rear speakers - 100

i like my systems with loud and clean bass. nothing too crazy or trying to hit 1xx.xx Dbs on the meter. more of a street bass setup thats quality and can get loud.

the alpine package is good, but you can get better within the price range

Thanks for answering that.

I'm getting my HU today.

I was debating on whether or not to put in Diamond components up front or Type R's.

As far as SPL, how does the Alpine Type R sub compare to the JL or MTX 7500?

LayinLo, you should check out www.caraudio.com or www.sounddomain.com forums . but fyi, theirs a lot of immature grown jack@sses that run/post the caraudio.com site. (reason why i left)

should think about creating another thread cause this thread is getting jacked lol.

my 2 12"alpine type r's are = in clarity as 2 JL W3's.. and a very little bit quieter. my bro has 2 JL audio W3's... he says, "xxxxxK2LCDCNC02 [1:31 A.M.]: I say JL is ahead by a nut hair"........ and for "the laws against car stereo" guy... suck my ********. why else would you buy a system??? if you dont like systems, dont come on the forum to read and complain about them. you retard.
