Alternator Whine!

So I redid my system and now I have horrible alternator whine. I had a trace amount before, but now it is unbearable. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on what it could be OTHER THAN interconnects, proper ground....all the common stuff. All of that has been checked and it is not the source of the problem. Any help would be appreciated...Thanks.

System specs in case you need them:
Pioneer DEH-3600
MB Quart RCE-216's
Phoenix Gold x100.4 amp
Phoenix Gold x600.1 amp
0 gauge power and ground
12 gauge speaker wire

If you need any other info ask.

OK these may be your problems. I am a tard in some aspectys of sstereo stuff and good at others. If you are running your rca's along with your power wire that is your problem. if youa re using crappy rca's that coudl be a problem. Also try to ground your car better. this is for an Si but it may helpo. http://www.k-series.com/tech_detail....P_GROUND_WIRES also... search for grounding here there is an FYI somewhere. If you have any other questions ask away.

I think Ed is spot on with at least the first thing to check. I think Gains are becomming the number 1 cause for whine. Just seeing it a lot lately. So, Check that. then Check your ground. I know you said you did, did you try moving it though? Then check your cables for a breach. You may have breached them when pulling them through a tight space.

I've never heard of this before, but it makes sense. Does this mainly happen on newer, high-voltage RCAs?

I got rid of the problem. It was actually the RCA's that run from the 4 channel to the mono that was causing the problem. I went and picked up a set of balanced RCA's and ran another set from the HU to the mono amp. All good now.
