Has anyone been able to get these installed?? I was going to go with the 6002si but they were hard to find on ebay, so I just went with the 6002i and figured I can do a little modification to make them fit. Any help will be appreciated thanx! Im doin the install tomorrow

I bought the si's only to find that with my 3/4" spacers, the i's would have fit fine too. Buy the speakers, then take the metal rings the come with to a high school wood shop and pay some kid ten bucks to make you some nice 1/2" spacers.

Well, I didnt pay a kid to make me some spacers, but I made them myself and I used styrofoam. Yeahh, but it works well plus it absorbs vibrations
ill ppost up some pics of it

Well it works, but Im sure your losing some lower frequency's. When installing speakers you gotta make sure that the rear signal is being kept seperate from the Front signal being put out by the speaker, If not you get cancellation and will not get the 100% usage of that speaker.

dont use styrofoam, its porous, air will get out, sound goes to crap, power handling decreases.
if you really want to do something like that, use non hardening modeling clay as discussed in this here thread on another forum

eventually, the styrofoam will start squeaking and you will shoot yourself in the face from the squeaky sound
