Here's a noob question, but one I have not been able to find an answer for anywhere. I just installed a sub without replacing the stock radio in my 2001 civic coupe lx. To get an audio signal to the amp I am taking it from the two back speakers, BUT I don't know which ones are positive and negative.

Does anyone know the wiring color codes for the rear speakers? (I don't want to cut clips of the existing speaker wire, when I can just use an inline tap connector to connect the wires as they are).

if you look closer at the speakers one side has a + and one has a - .. can't remember the color codes right off hand but hope you get a line converter to do that

yeah I got a high-low impedance converter (converts the speaker signal to RCA) but I looked at the speakers and couldn't see a +/- indicator, I'll have another look at it though. I figured because the wires are attached by a clip to the speaker there wouldn't be one.
