Amp kit choices
I'm not too familiar with brands/prices so can someone give me a few choices? I checked on ebay and found 8 gauge kits starting at 5 bucks, which I don't really trust without knowing the company's reputation. Please fill me in.

Also, I tried looking this up but I kept getting rants and arguments on yes or no. Can our (I'm assuming 6th and 7th gen civics have pretty similar alternators) handle the draw from a 300 watt RMS amp, or should I invest in a capacitor?

I have a Kicker 350.4 running just my highs and mids, you'll be fine running a 300 watt amp, I'm getting ready to add a Kicker 1200.1 also, so all in all about 1500 watts running, with 2 S12L7's, i'm going to add another battery to mine. I'm also running 4 gauge wire.
