noise from new speaks?
Whats up guys.
On friday i had some components installed at a local shop. Everything was all gravy on friday night but on saturday as i was cruisin around I started hearing a wierd noise coming from the tweets. It sounds like a slide whistle that clowns use lol. whenever i push the gas it sounds like its winding up, a real high pitched sound, then when i let off the gas it sounds like its..winding down i guess. so if i rev the engine its all "weeEEEEeee." also, if i turn down the volume all the way i hear a buzzing noise from the front speakers. Im taking it back tomorrow to have them fix the HU relocation they did - and i'll have them fix the noise, but i was just wondering what this could be coming from? BTW do you think it could be coming from low grade RCA's? because they sold me a hella expensive kit and said it was the best and i'd be so pissed if they charged me up the a$$ for a crappy kit.
notes:
what causes tweets to have a high pitched whistle sound that is activated when i push, and let go the gas? also, buzzing coming from the front speakers when volume off.

better RCAs?! fock i hope you're wrong! i paid $107.00 for the amp kit they put in, when i asked why they're charging so much more than other places around town they said cuz they use the best RCAs etc etc. well, either way they're going to fix it *i hope*

a kenwood excelon running the sub and kenwood 800w running the components. the 800w amp was running my old sub - so i know it works fine.

check the ground, or reground it. Make sure they shaved the paint off, lol. You have distortion somewhere in there. I doubt you need new RCAs. It could be the power wire/RCAs are running on the same side of the car, but Ive never had a prob with that. I changed mine to be seperate anyways, but I doubt thats it. Check your grounds. Turn down the amp some, asjust any crossovers. They RARELY do any of that at regular shops.
It was probably cuz somebody else installed it. No matter how little or big, ALWAYS DO WIRING YOURSELF! You can do other peoples and whatnot, but honestly, I wouldnt ever let anybody do your wiring, especially a shop.

Oh yeah, and always use Monster Cable. They are one of the best, lifetime warrantys on most or all their stuff I believe, and decent priced. Well, somewhat expensive, but Im happy very with my Monster Cable parts.

Ive had Best Buy install, take out, reinstall a system before. Ive had Audio Express install a system, and alarm. Everytime, you can see all the wiring, they dont set anything up, they cheap out, dont even have connectors for the amp. They looked at me like I was crazy when I asked for some. They're like, the right way to do it, is just twist the wire up, and stick it in there. Im like, uhhhhh, thanks for letting me know to NEVER use you guys again.

the one time i tried installing my own HU everything was all good - for a couple hours. then my battery died. haha so im scared to mess anything up with wiring sound stuff.
i had engine noise and I believe I had Monster cables, my brother always uses them. so he got this adapter that pluged into the RCA's then into the amp. killed the noise immediately. Let me know if you want to know this part that we used. It worked perfectly and its very easy to install, just plug it in...very simple.

they could have put in no telling what but they could have damaged them or be defective ones at the same time. Make them check it or replace them since they installed it
